Buying or selling a home is stressful enough without a website getting in the way. This statement describes how we keep the site usable for everyone and what to do if it is not.
Our commitment
Helen Wong and Premier Realty want every visitor to be able to read this site, search for homes, and reach Helen, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
The site is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Accessibility was part of the design from the first page rather than an afterthought, and we keep testing as the site changes.
What the site does
- Structure
- Pages use semantic HTML with proper headings and landmarks, and a skip link lets keyboard users jump straight to the content.
- Keyboard
- Every link, button, menu, carousel, and form is built to be operated with a keyboard alone, in a logical order.
- Focus
- We aim to keep a visible focus outline on the element you are on rather than removing it.
- Images
- Meaningful photographs carry descriptive text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Forms
- Each field has a visible label, errors are described next to the field and announced, and results are read aloud by assistive technology.
- Contrast
- Text and interface colors are built to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios on every surface, light and dark.
- Motion
- Animations are brief and restrained, and they are switched off when your system asks for reduced motion.
- Text and zoom
- Type scales with your browser settings, and layouts reflow for small screens and 200 percent zoom without side-to-side scrolling.
Known limitations
Some content comes from outside this site, including listing feeds, maps, and reviews hosted on Zillow. We choose these services with care, but we cannot control how accessible they are.
Photographs are being replaced with final Sacramento-area photography; descriptions will be reviewed again as the new images arrive. If anything on the site is hard to use, we would rather hear about it than guess.
Tell us when something falls short
If you run into a barrier, email helenwongre@gmail.com or call 916.256.7073. It helps to include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.
We will reply as quickly as we can and work to fix the problem rather than explain it away.
Other ways to get the same information
Nothing on this site is available only here. Call or email Helen and she will walk you through any listing, neighborhood, or home-value question directly, in English and Spanish.
You can also ask for listing details, disclosures, or other documents in large print or another format that works for you, or arrange a visit to the Premier Realty office at 4030 Truxel Rd, Suite D, Sacramento.
